I first started with Moni in July of this year and I want to tell you how much better I feel! I was truly out of shape and had some weight to lose. I knew that if I joined an exercise class at some fitness center, that I would be with others decked out in their designer workout wear and beautiful figures and fine jewelry. I would join a class and I know for a fact I would be in the back of the group hoping not to be spotted by the instructor.
I heard about Moni and decided to give him a try. My first visit he did measure every part of my body and had me get on the old scale, which I hadn’t been on in months. It just killed me. But it did make me realize how heavy I was and how important it was to get into shape. Moni, without a doubt, is the most genuine, kind and positive person. He has taught me how important eating is and how to do it. Portions! I get to eat like five times a day. What could be better than that?
After now losing 30 pounds I have so much energy and feel so much better. I know that I have a lot to do with my weight loss but I truly think Moni deserves the credit because I could not have done it without him! There is only one thing that you have to look out for when working with Moni... When you are on the treadmill or bicycle sometimes when you’re not looking he will increase the level! But I can live with that! He means well! When working out, Moni will proceed to tell me the name of each muscle in my body as I’m stretching it. I just hope someday he doesn’t give me a written test! I’ll leave the knowledge of muscles to him. The only thing that I know about them is that mine are working much better now!
Thank you Moni for all you have done for me and continue to do for me. I truly look forward to the two days a week I spend with you!

Thanks to my program with Moni, I have lost 20 lbs in four months and feel healthier and better about myself. I no longer have blood pressure issues and continue to work on my cardio which gives me my energy and strength. He has helped me understand a new way of living with my diet and am very thankful he has come across my path. There is no turning back now.
Thanks again, Moni, for your continued support.

With 37 inches waistline and 225 pound weight, I was lost in finding ways on how I would become fit. Frustrated and angry I tried every diet and every possible exercise a novice could think of.
In July 2007, comes the answer to my QUESTION. With determination, right advice and ways given by my found Fitness Instructor Moni Veluz, I was able to achieve the unimaginable results in terms of losing weight and gaining lean muscle. “HOW DID I DO IT ???”, is what most people would ask. With the guidance of my trainer, losing weight is not just about eating right or doing the right exercises, it is also by knowing when and what to eat all throughout the day. These key information were given to me by Moni. Without it, my perseverance in losing weight and my motivation in getting fit would be cut short.
Today, 8 months later, with a 30-inch waistline and 160 pound weight, am I proud and happy????.....the results speak for itself.

I never felt confident until I started losing weight and dropping unwanted pounds. From being a size 12 to 4, from extra large sized-dresses to small , and from 170 lbs to 125 lbs. These lower numbers do not represent who I am, they, however, define how I feel about myself. I never liked working out before, so I just insisted on being on diets alone but I never really saw results until I was introuced to my trainer, Moni.
Moni absolutely made accomplishing my fitness goals a lot easier and faster. He designs every session with different styles, fresh resistance exercises and fun dance routines which made this journey so enjoyable. I never thought I would have such a blast exercising , and not to mention having the joy of eating my favorite foods (in moderation, of course ) and not worry about not being able to burn the calories. My faster metabolism now prevents me from storing these "cheat calories". Now, since I lost a huge amount of weight, I feel like I'm physically and emotionally able to do anything and everything. Pounds lost, Confidence gained !
A million thanks to you Moni and OF COURSE , to the group of friends (co-workers and the company) that made this life-changing experience possible...I deeply THANK YOU !!!

Like Chris Brown says, "Look at me now"! All I can honestly say is I am so very proud to have gone down this path of a healthier lifestyle and lost weight the right way. I have come a long way from always being chubby, big boned or what ever nick name you have for being over weight, that was me. I was never truly happy with myself; I was consumed by my insecurities. I could not go through one day without thinking of how I would look like if I were skinnier, the climbing numbers on the weighing scale, and whether others looked at me like how I look at myself in the mirror. And what was so disappointing was I didn't really get the support, encouragement, or motivation I needed from my family or myself. I always wanted quick and easy results, so I turned to diet pills, calorie counting, weighing myself everyday and I still was unhappy because I couldn't get to where I wanted to be. But working with Moni has totally changed that. At first I was very skeptical about having a trainer because I told myself that I could just do it on my own and of course I couldn't. I have to tell you working out with Moni was not easy, it was hard, strict, draining and he would literally kick your butt, but without his support I wouldn't have done it without him. Seeing my results on paper showed me that the number on the weighing scale didn't matter , but how you feel and how you look. Working with Moni, I have learned to motivate myself, have self-control, gain confidence in myself, eat healthier, and live healthier and intend to continue this journey . I can sincerely say I am so much happier, I have found that security I needed in myself, and I look and feel great! Great things never come easy and with Moni, he gives you all the tools you need in order to reach your goal and I am eternally grateful to have someone who has seen in me what I see now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hard work pays off. Real talk. I’m not going to lie; losing weight was not easy. I remember being 16 filling out my drivers license permit and lying about my weight. Being 5’1 and over 160 pounds at SIXTEEN is not something to be proud of. I lived a sedentary lifestyle with junk food surrounding me. At one point I was not able to fit into the clothes I once wore in high school. It wasn’t until early in the summer of 2011 when I started to exercise regularly with Moni, and also during my own time without him. I started to get serious about living a healthy lifestyle – food-wise and exercising daily because I enjoyed the feeling. Thank you, endorphins!
I never really went for “seeing results,” working out just became something I enjoyed over time. It was when I ran into my best friend (for the first time in two years) who told me she didn’t recognize me and that I lost weight, that I realized what I had been doing all summer paid off. All the sweat and hard work paid off. I started to get these self-esteem boosting compliments from not only my friends, but also my family. My old clothes finally fit me, and the feeling of going down dress sizes, is just, wow. Words can’t even explain. Along the way, there were countless minor setbacks such as falling back into old habits, being lazy, etc. (sorry, Moni!) and that's where I had a difficult time, but if you take a step back, always take two steps up. Adapting to this lifestyle feels good because for the first time in a long time, I finally feel like I’m doing something right. I finally feel good about myself when I look in the mirror, I can finally walk around standing tall, and life in general has never felt so good. This is a lifestyle I’m willing to commit to because day after day, workout after workout, motivation starts to build, and it pushes me to keep going.
So with that being said, many, many, many, thank yous to my auntie Rose, because if it weren’t for her, training with Moni wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you to my family and friends who keep me motivated, and of course thank you to the wonderful Moni. Thank you so much for keeping me grounded, encouraging me to keep going when I hit a plateau or when the numbers on the weighing scale aren't up to my expectations, that it isn’t about the numbers either; it’s about how you feel, and thank you for that constant reminder to stay focused.

Before I started working out with Moni, my lifestyle was very unhealthy. I felt I was out of control. I would eat cheeseburgers, french fries and pizza whenever possible; drink coca-cola 2-3 times a day; eat dessert with every meal; eat candy first thing when I got home from work; and I even began smoking cigarettes on a regular basis. Most of these habits had been developing for 20 years or so, and caring about what I ate was of little or no concern to me. Exercise was something I had done in the past and planned to do again, but I just never got around to.
Once I turned 30 (exactly two years ago today), I began to notice a difference in how I was feeling physically. I was heavier than ever and started to experience various aches and pains all over my body, especially in my feet. My stomach would often hurt, sleep was often interrupted and even breathing was becoming very difficult. I began to realize that I needed to change my ways, but felt powerless to do so. One day, my mom recommended to see her fitness trainer and I decided that this was my chance to get my act together.
Once I talked to Moni, I decided to trust my diet and exercise regimen to him. Obviously, my way was simply not working. It wasn't easy at first but I made up my mind that it was absolutely time for a complete lifestyle change and allowed Moni to walk me through this journey.
If somebody told me six months ago that I would be in this kind of shape, I would have laughed at them. I am very pleased with my results and I look forward to a life of continued health and success. And I am grateful to Moni for guiding me every step of the way

It was time for a change. I was always considered to be the guy in shape, after 15 years in the military and sporting 20 inch biceps I was rarely questioned about my own fitness. My body was always one to show large muscle gains quickly. However, as I was getting older I was finding that my legs, arms, and chest would have tremendous gains with my weight training, but the “love handles” I had were becoming more untouchable without the proper cardio and core exercises I needed. After completing my Bachelor’s degree I realized that sacrificing my workouts for a better GPA left me with a larger waist size and pants that didn’t fit. Change and Dedication were necessary at this point.
Here is where Moni came into my life, he came highly recommended by a fellow personal trainer. One of my requests was that he be at least close to my age. I didn’t want a 23 year old with little experience or poor customer service. I wanted a trainer that practiced what they preached and understood the physical and mental challenges a man my age would have when it came to losing weight, and Moni was just that! A true professional!
I have always been a disciplined guy but I was a bit fed up with working on my “self image project” myself I needed a bit of a push and fresh ideas. Moni not only understood what I was going through while I was attempting to re-sculpture my body, he talked me through many of my workouts to keep me motivated when I thought I could not make it through the last count.
Within less than 3 months, 2 sessions a week I ended up losing over 19 lbs. With Moni’s help, he allowed me to concentrate more on my diet and cardio. The workouts prescribed to me were not easy. There were many I had not done in years! Each time Moni said they would get easier, you know what? They didn’t, but only because Moni constantly changed the workouts so he could introduce me to different techniques to trick my body so it would not get too use to the same old routines, (a habit I use to fall into many times in the past).
I felt the workouts were a bit harder for me because I was use to working out at 5 am in the morning and getting the workout over with first thing in the morning and then going to work, but instead I would work a full day at my job then go and see Moni for my workouts. He was always on time. There were many days I was just too exhausted to go, but I knew I would feel much better when the workout was complete, not to mention, the results were impressive. I was rather proud of myself for meeting my goals that day.
I know that many people go to a trainer and expect the trainer to magically create a transformation, but I am a true believer that you only get in return what you are willing to put in. Investing my time and effort with Moni was time well spent. I highly recommend his services.
“Moni, you’re a very dynamic individual and I am proud to call you my trainer”!
When I first met Moni I was trying to get back into shape. In my thirties I discovered that working out and eating right helped me to look better than I had in my twenties. I had just taken a new job, however, and my schedule was off. I had let myself go for months and gave in to the rat race and the convenience of fast food. I had worked with trainers before and had some ideas about what to do, but I was tired of the routine and felt little motivation. I also was wary about finding a new trainer. While I wanted to lose fat, I REALLY wanted to build muscle too. Many trainers are great at one or the other, but to find someone who is a master at both is rare.
Enter Moni.
My first meeting with him was somewhat nerve-racking. I didn't want to get my body measured. It wasn't what it used to be. I was skinny where I wanted muscle and paunchy where I wanted to be lean. Also, work was taxing, and I was tired. How was this going to work?
Moni put me at ease with his genuine personality, enthusiasm, and goofy humor. Then he impressed me with his knowledge and willingness to listen to what I had to say.
In the first weeks of training, I noticed some characteristics that put Moni above the other trainers I've had. His approach is very holistic. From stretching to drinking water, from varying routines to using unique exercises I had never seen before, Moni proved to be an original. His positive spirit and motivation were contagious, and I knew this was going to work.
After a month I felt great. My weights increased dramatically along with my muscle growth. I was becoming more lean. And as an unexpected bonus, my flexibility increased greatly. I felt fantastic. Working out seemed new again. I have to mention the unique exercises again. Just when I would get comfortable with a workout routine, Moni would change it up with something I had never done or even seen before. It bugged me at first (and we would argue!!), but eventually this variety helped me to develop muscles I didn't even know I had.
After a year, I noticed (and everyone around me noticed) a big difference. I was back to looking better than I had in my twenties. And with Moni I felt more fit and stronger than I ever had before.
I have since moved to New York City and no longer workout with Moni. I miss him and the workouts and will be hard-pressed to find someone of his caliber to train me here. I hope that this message inspires the men and women who read this to take on the challenge of better fitness with Moni as your guide. You'll be so happy that you did.

I met Moni whilst on vacation in LA through mutual friends of ours. I recall our chatting casually and my finding out that he was a personal trainer by profession and that sort of piqued my interest, been that I had let myself go in the past year or so due to a heavy work and travel schedule and I threw in a comment about my picking his brain a bit and getting some helpful hints to a better body…
Moni was quick to mention an online program that he was working on that involved him providing both a training and diet program which was very effective and he asked what my target was. Been the cheeky lad I am, I told him a Brad Pitt like body (like that was ever going to happen) would be ideal.. and in typical Moni style and with a pretty straight face he asked in return: Are we talking about “Troy” Brad Pitt, Fight Club “Brad Pitt” or Snatch “Brad Pitt”? I was not too sure if he was pulling my leg then but recall saying : “who cares? Any Brad Pitt bod is fine by me”.. and a partnership was born. I promised to adhere strictly to his workout and diet schedule even though I was pretty skeptical about the whole online program concept especially been that I lived thousands of miles away in Liberia,Africa.
My initial skepticism was blown away from the get go. Moni was more than true to his word and before I set foot in Africa my program was in the inbox and the journey began. His professionalism and sense of commitment was impressive and in a way this commitment level and constant follow-ups provided me with the added incentive I needed to ensure my sticking to the program. His dedication to his work has been nothing short of amazing. He actually goes so far as to ensure that all the right supplements are available for me to use. If those are not available, he is ready to arrange a supply of those and have them shipped and rare it is to meet someone who commits so wholeheartedly to anything.
It has been an arduous task, I kid you not . Moni works this particular client to the bone.. I have had muscles worked on that I never knew existed … and just when I get comfortable with a workout routine Moni ups the ante and jolts the muscles back into action with new workout programs. This aspect of the program is what I love most about the workout as there is nary a dull moment in there.
In short, I have gone through workout programs before but never have I seen results to the level I have seen in the past 14 weeks. In those 14 weeks, Moni has managed to turn my body around 180 degrees. Not only am I more confident, but so many of my friends and colleagues have been commenting about the changes and how much leaner and toned I look which is rather awesome been that those same people thought I was crazy that an online workout program could work.. here’s to proving them wrong
Moni, sorry to tell you, but you are stuck with this client for a while to come. If you are looking for the total package in a personal trainer, then your search ends here. I can recommend no one more than this guy.

After my second baby within 2 years, I needed to get back in shape. I had the drive but I did not have the motivation. My decision to dedicate some time to take care of myself physically was the best decision I had made. After 10 weeks, I feel light, confident and full of energy.
Thanks Moni for motivating me to work hard.

At age 48, Moni helped me to achieve the best shape of my life. He gave me a simple, easy to follow program that was perfectly suited for my age and lifestyle. Although I'm 3,000 miles away in Boston, I've been able to continue making progress and keep seeing more results.
Moni's expertise on diet, cardio and weight training has allowed me to meet - and even surpass - my fitness goals in less than 6 months. My approach is "All Natural"... I've never used steroids, growth hormone or other performance enhancing drugs. So I'm grateful that Moni's guidance allowed me to re-build my body based solely on sensible nutrition and exercise.
I placed my complete trust in Moni's knowledge and experience, and the rewards have exceeded my expectations many times over. Thank you, Moni!

People think that it’s very easy for me to keep myself in shape because of my genes. I can’t help but chuckle when I hear this particular observation because everything I’ve accomplished was from everything but. My family tends to keep high level of fat cells due to the type of foods we eat and sedentary lifestyle. On top of being on the heavier side, I was known to have chicken legs and my butt was practically non-existent ( friends can be cruel sometimes, lol) . Growing up, we feasted on rice, fried foods and sweets as if they were going out of style. Our free time was mostly spent on laying around the house and watching TV all day.
When I turned 19, I decided I had to turn 180 on myself and made necessary changes. The journey was very challenging and I really had to sacrifice a lot of things (including junk food, hah) in order to have a healthier lifestyle. My sister, Maryanne, had the same concerns with her weight and when she decided to take control of her health, I was there to teach her things I learned on my own.

My entire life I had been going through this weigh-loss, weigh-gain roller coaster where I would go through endless cycles of getting in shape (or what I considered "being in shape"), getting out of shape, getting in shape, and so on. The primary reason to why I couldn’t stick to a workout regime for too long was because it took up too much of my spare time. When I did get myself into the gym for a period of time I would see results but unfortunately the results would never last long because I wasn’t committed enough to make a life-long change.
Working out with Moni is the best thing I have ever done for my health! I have worked out with other trainers in the past but Moni is hands down the best!!! He's very serious about what he does but more importantly he's there for me, constantly checking up on my food intake for the day, sending me text messages to motivate me and get me going. He has introduced fun and exciting workout routines as well as opened my eyes to food in different ways. When I came to him not only had I gained weight but I also dreaded the boring part of the gym I remembered from when I did work out consistently. Not to mention wondering if I could ever get in shape again because it simply wasn’t as easy as it was 10 years ago. I have come to learn that being fit and staying fit is truly a life-long change that surprisingly is easily done as long as you put your mind and energy to it.
Now working out and eating right has become a part of my daily routine, if I don’t make it to the gym at least 3-4 times a weeks, aside from training with Moni once a week, I feel like a part of me is missing. There are times when I get exhausted and simply want to give up but my goals keep me going. At the age of 27 I could say that I have never felt better about myself and the thought of feeling even better is what keeps me going….Thank you Moni for all your help, you're AWESOME!!!!! :)

I was forced by my husband to meet Moni in July 2005. My husband has been a member of this local gym for years and he had been trying to convince me to go ( I was 50 then) where apparently he had been watching this "excellent trainer". I told him he was not going to convince me to go. I had never put a foot in a gym before. My husband gave up on me and one day he came home and told me that he had enrolled my young nephew for 20 sessions with this trainer--what a relief ! My luck.... after his third session something came up and my nephew couldn't continue on with the rest of the sessions. My husband said he wasn't about to waste the money he paid and that I had to finish them -- I wasn't happy at all. It was dreadful.
Well, I've been training with Moni for 5 years now. What a change in my life !!! I love the gym now. I have met the nicest group of people there but the best part was when I met my dearest friend Pia. I'm a morning person and I'm at the gym usually before 5:00 am. I work out about 10 hours a week and Monday is my only day of rest. During the summer months,I take swimming lessons from Moni and I also go to his boot camp. He also introduced me to the art of hula hooping and it has brought a lot of fun to my workouts. I can do a couple of fancy moves now, haha.
I never wore sleeveless tops or tank dresses before and people said I had elephant legs ( no shape at all), boxy (square) belly and my butt was non-existent. Not to mention that at this age, I'm able to do 10 pull-ups. If Moni was able to shape me up at 55, he has to be "the miracle trainer "and my husband says I'm streamline. Thank you Moni for your immense determination and patience to shape me up. And I have to add that our friendship is PRICELESS.

There are many gifts one friend can give to another. No matter what the occasion or what the gift is, it doesn't matter. It's all about the thought, knowing that what was given, was given from the heart and a place of caring
I have been friends with Moni for the past 15 years. He's my best friend and for as long as I've known him, he has always given from his heart. He is supportive, encouraging and non-judgmental.
For as long as I've known Moni, I've carried around 20+ extra lbs. I never looked horrible, but I was in fact not in great shape, by any measure.
This year, I turned 40 and with this milestone, I took a good look at myself, inside and out and I wanted to make a change. I was not happy with how I looked or how I felt. I called Moni and told him that I felt it was time to finally commit to making a life change; to finally get out of my lazy routine and choose a healthier lifestyle - all of which, I wanted to happen by my 40th birthday.
With only two months till the big 4-0!, Moni structured a specific diet and training regime, which at first was incredibly difficult and a huge challenge for me to commit to, but I did. I did, only because of Moni; his expertise, guidance and unconditional support helped me lose 20 lbs in just 2 months.
Last month, I moved back to NYC and I was worried that without being able to see/ train with Moni in person, I'd risk gaining all that I had lost. All my fears never came to fruition, because Moni continued to send me weekly work outswith photos online to guide me through the exercises and movements.
I'm happy to say I've continued to lose weight and am more toned than ever. ( 25 lbs lighter to date) I'm a new me. The me I've always wanted to be and I'm going to continue on this path of self improvement.
I know so many people are just like I was. All it takes is a spark of commitment and with Moni's TLC, he helps carry you all the way to self success.
Thank you for giving me a new lease on my life.. my best friend gave me the best gift anyone could give another person.
